I thought for a while how to make something like this and I’m so proud to present to you my first fonger puppets. This amigurumi pattern was something completely new and chalenging for me.
My children love to play games and tell stories. They love to play theatre and they used to do it with socks. I made a lot of amigurumis so far but I was thinking how to make them some puppets so they could not only played with tham but also play theatre. First what came to my mind was to make them manequins. I could make them but it would be hard for them to play with. There were many ideas until I figured it out that I could make some finger puppets and that they could play with several of them at the same time.
I have to say that I don’t know how to draw very well. I keep everything in my head. There is always some idea, I have more then few of them kept stashed somewhere in my head, that I just have to realize. The only thing that is keeping me from realising them all is a lack of time. I just can’t make everything I want.
I thought that it was great idea but I didn’t know how to make them. Making something like that was totaly new for me but I love chalenges.
I had to find solution how to make that finger part. In the end it wasn’t so hard. It came all together easily and I was happy.
Amigurumi pattern – First in line…
Then I thought for what occasion!? First I could thought of was Christmas and that gave me many more ideas. I made Santa Claus, Mrs Claus, Rudolf the Reindeer, Snowman, Christmas Elf, Ginger Man and finaly Grinch. This is only the first series of finger puppets.
Now I want to make more puppets. I want to make puppets for all the fairy tales I can think of.
